This works like a charm! Downgraded and installed GMS on 9Nov2023. My device is the APAC P40 Pro with the latest EMUI 12 and ELS-N29 C636R4. I can confirmed this still works though you'll will have to download the official Huawei HiSuite 14 to perform the downgrade from EMUI 12 to EMUI 11.0.0.260 (mine shows 11.0.0.249 but it works too), then follow the instructions from Step 2 to Step 3.
